Princesa 23 is the name of this bar and is also its address. Located in the trendy Born neighbourhood, this restaurant-bar is the perfect place to chill out after work. To get there, take Metro Line 4 to Jaume I and walk down Calle Princesa. It is almost guaranteed that there will be a guy standing on the corner of the street handing out flyers for the bar. Their drink specials are top-notch: the week I was there, they were running a special that involved free shots just for presenting the flyer and buying a drink. They were also featuring Mojitos and Caipirinhas for 3.50€. This offer starts at 11PM.
The atmosphere is young, and most people come here to party before the party really begins, from about 11pm-2:30am. I would estimate that the clientele is comprised of half tourists, half actual Spaniards. It tends to be a very international crowd and most of the staff speak better English than Spanish. This night spot is just the beginning in Barcelona.
In relation to the atmosphere, this bar offers a Moroccan style couch, table and atmosphere. The Princesa 23 is a concept of lounge bar restaurant where you can meet people. The bar has also quotations on its walls from Gibran Khalil Gibran’s book: The Profit. And if you want to eat something; they offer Mexican and Spanish food for a reasonable price. Actually, you can have delicious “bocadillos” or some wonderful nachos with cheese…They also do a special offer, on the 23rd of the month. On this day, you can have a special menu or free! This menu is available for lunch from 12 to 4.30 PM and also for the dinner from 6 PM to 11PM.
You can also try the “chiringuito” Princesa 23, en la playa de la Barceloneta. The concept is the same but you don’t have the decoration, the couches and everything…and it is also more expensive. However, from 7 PM, they propose Mojitos for 3.50€…Even if the Mojitos is the speciality of Princesa 23, you can always take another cocktail because they have a wide choice. You could have a Daiquiri, a Green Paradise, a Margarita, a Beach babe Beach and much more!
I also recommend you to get a hotel (hotel barcelone) as soon as possible. Actually, Barcelona offers you a huge proposal of accommodation (hotels barcelone), so you just have to take advantage of it and look for it on the web.

Everyone knows about France’s rich and colourful history with regards to the monarchy. The bloody decapitation in 1793 of King Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette, infamous for her line “Let them eat cake” and of course, the proclamation of the French revolution in 1789.
Central to the French revolution was the city of Paris. The place where the hunger was epidemic, people were angry, and the symbol of power and wealth of the few, poverty for the masses. The King and Queen were safe in their Palace in Versailles, and as you can imagine, with the power, wealth and well documented greed of Marie Antoinette in particular, Versailles was the height of luxury. So much so in fact, that Versailles has become, over the centuries, the most sumptuously clad ch

What about places where the people congregate? Be sure to wander around Times Square and Central Park. Times Square will catch your eye with all its animation and neon signs, as well as the different types of commerce and fast pace buzzing in the air. Since 1987 the successful blue trio “The Blue Man Group” has been entertaining people across the nation. What started with 3 men in New York is now a team of 500 people who present the show in New York, Boston, Chicago, Las Vegas, Berlin, London and Toronto.
The founders of the show are Matt Goldman, Phil Stanton and Chris Wink who invented the concept in 1987. During the first three years they were on the stage in New York on their own without any help or backup.
Today there are 30 Blue Men and more than 50 musicians. The main idea was to create something original…something where the audience can participate and use their imagination. And one thing is certain, they definitely succeeded.
They show is totally different from anything you have seen before: Music, Dance, Theatre, Humour and an array of colours make the Blue Man Group something really special.
The audience is involved during the whole show so be careful if one of the men comes a bit close
You can’t put the Blue Man Group in any one particular genre as it is so diverse and has so many aspects to it that simply being called a musical or a play is rather insulting.
Playing music on self-made instruments and having a lot of special effects will make it a highlight. Therefore you can be sure there is something in the show for everyone.
The Blue Man Group has been in Berlin since spring 2004 and is still a great success in the German capital. This was the very first production outside the USA and in February 2007 the group moved into their own theatre after more than 1 million people saw the show. In the BlueMax theatre at the Potsdamer Platz there is enough space for that special show. One of the saloons was converted so that 600 visitors can sit there comfortably.
You will find the program, prices for the tickets and the chance to book on the homepage of the organizer Stage Entertainment (www.stage-entertainment.de)
Come to Berlin and see the unique show of the Blue Man Group. Have a look for good accommodation (Ferienwohnung in Berlin) like one of the cheap Hotel in Berlin. Most of the apartments (Unterkünfte Berlin) are very central and due to the very good metro system you can reach every point of Berlin easily. Plan your trip in advance since the accommodation as well as the tickets for the Blue Man Group are booked out quickly.

Castle Douglas is located in the Scottish district named Dumfries and Galloway. During the 18th century the town of Castle Douglas had something like a makeover by William Douglas, a local boy, who planned to make his town into a noteworthy commercial and industrial center. Sadly the enterprise failed, however Castle Douglas benefited a small amount with some lovely buildings constructed from a mix of gray granite and red sandstone and a straight high street called King Street. As Castle Douglas is only 18 miles from Dumfries it has numerous tourist attractions and places well worth visiting and we give details on 3; Threave Gardens, Threave Castle and Castle Douglas Art Gallery:
Threave Castle
located on an island in the middle of the River Dee, is the beautiful Threave Castle. The journey to the castle itself is really thrilling. First one has a ten minute stroll over farm land and through woods, where one stumbles upon a jetty, at the river’s edge. Here you will discover a brass bell that is the sign for the boat man to come and transport you across to the castle. Threave castle was constructed in the 1370’s by Archibald Douglas (Archibald the Grim), soon after he became Lord of Galloway. Threave continued to be his strong hold until his death in 1400. The origin of the name Threave comes from the ancient Welsh word for Homestead, ‘Tref’.
Threave Gardens
A businessman from Liverpool, William Gordon, acquired Threave House and estate, as a summer retreat for his extensive family, in 1867. The twenty four acre Threave Gardens were developed alongside the house, and today are a popular tourist attraction. The National Trust for Scotland continue to maintain and develop the gardens and house, as well as running the tourist center. There are a selection of gardens around the estate, including the
Peat Garden, Secret Garden and Woodland Garden. During springtime, the arrays of daffodils are wonderful, and attract visitors from far and wide. A favorite of children who visit Threave Gardens is the Discovery Garden. It was designed to inspire children, with its mown grass paths leading through meadows of wild flowers.
Castle Douglas Art Gallery
The Castle Douglas Art Gallery is an excellent venue, which plays host to an array of art and crafts throughout the year. Many touring exhibitions are displayed regularly, as well as temporary exhibitions, all running from Easter to Christmas. The art gallery started life in 1938, and was given to Castle Douglas by the artist, Mrs Ethel Bristowe. In 1996 the gallery was upgraded using finances from the National Lottery. A lot of the exhibits in the gallery, including photographs, are for sale. Nearby to the gallery, are two other attractions, Threave Castle and Threave Garden. These are to be found no more than a couple of miles away.
If you are in the process of considering taking a vacation in Scotland and you plan to stay in Castle Douglas you may wish to book your accommodation online and you will discover Castle Douglas hotel and accommodation listings at http://castledouglas.hotelreservationhelper.com.
